Practicing dentistry on West End Avenue for over twenty years
We are general dentists who graduated from the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in June 1986 and have been practicing together ever since. After completing General Practice Residencies in New York hospitals, we began our private practice in August 1987 in an office on Roosevelt and Main Street in Queens. Several months later, we returned to the Upper West Side for good.
In November 1992, after a painstaking, year-long renovation of a space at 608 A West End Avenue, we moved into our current office and have been working ever since to heal the community, one aching tooth at a time.
We have practiced on the Upper West Side since 1988 and many of our patients have been with us since day one. We feel very fortunate for the trust our patients have placed in us, as well as the close relationships we’ve fostered with them over the years.
Dr. Fearon practices general dentistry with extensive training in oral facial pain. He graduated from SUNY—Stony Brook, School of Dental Medicine in 1986. From 1986-87, Dr. Fearon was a General Practice Dental Resident at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan.
Along with general dentistry, Dr. Wong is particularly attuned to providing services for both very young and elderly patients. Her practice offers a wide range of state of the art and caring services, such as bleaching, Invisalign, laser gum therapy, implant-supported crowns, and extractions. Dr. Wong especially enjoys making dentures and considers the practice to be a lost art.
Our office is special because we are a family. Our dental assistant, Miki, has been with us since 2000, and our office manager, Maggie, has been with us since the very beginning in 1988. At East Coast Dental you can always count on seeing familiar faces at the front desk and in the operatories. Occasionally, you might even see one of Dr. Fearon and Dr. Wong's children manning the front desk and scheduling appointments. We are a mom-and-pop business that seeks to welcome our patients into a space defined by the ease and trust that comes with family.
Our practice emphasizes oral and systemic health through prevention, sound guidance, and minimally invasive, high-tech equipment and techniques

We provide all aspects of general dental treatment and became interested in cosmetic dentistry since its earlier phases more than twenty-five years ago. Tooth whitening is a service we routinely provide, as well as more complex cases such as implant restoration, which include single tooth implants as well as complicated, multi-implant cases.
It is advisable to establish a dental home for your child within six months of the first tooth emerging in the mouth (no later than twelve months of age). This way, your child can establish an easygoing, non-threatening relationship with the dentist.
Temporomandibular Disorder refers to pain in the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ). TMJ pain usually presents itself as a deep aching pain in the jaw; however, it can also present itself in many different forms.
